Coping with water scarcity - The challenge of the 21st century Enfrentando a escassez de água - O desafio do século XXI
The United Nations, at its 58th session, proclaimed 2005 to 2015 as the International Decade for Action - Water for Life. This recommendation calls for a greater focus on water-related issues and for actions to ensure participation in water-related development efforts to achieve water-related goals: to halve by 2015 the proportion of people who are unable to reach or afford safe drinking water and who do not have access to basic sanitation.As Nações Unidas, na sua 58ª sessão,proclamou os anos de 2005 a 2015 como a Década da Acção - Água para Vida. Esta recomendação vem dar maior relevo a questões da água e a iniciativas que assegurem a participação em esforços que visem atingirem-se os alvos delineados para a área da água:descer para metade, até 2015, a proporção de pessoas que não têm acesso a água potável ou a saneamento básico.

EXPO 2008 in Zaragoza/em Saragoça, Spain/Espanha - Water and the Bible/A Água e a Bíblia

Expo 2008, an international exposition held from June 14 through September 14 this year in Zaragoza, Spain, with more than 100 countries, also NGOs represented by pavilions. A Expo 2008, uma Exposição internacional que este ano se realizou em Saragoça, Espanha, de 14 de Junho a 14 de Setembro com mais de 100 países e organizações não governamentais representados pelos seuis pavilhões.

The theme of the international show, "Water and Sustainable Development," aimed at a very important issue in today's world-the problem of water.
O tema da mostra internacional, " A Água e o Desenvolvimento Sustentável", focou uma questão bastante importante no mundo:de hoje o problema da água.
This year, it included a pavilion by the evangelical community in Spain called "Living Water." The name of the Pavilion comes from a New Testament text: Talk of Jesus to the Samaritan Woman, Gospel of John, chapter 4.
Este ano um dos pavilhões chamava-se " A Água Viva", da responsabilidade da comunidade evangélica em Espanha. A inspiração do nome do pavilhão tem origem no texto do Novo Testamento: Conversa de Jesus com a Mulher Samaritana, no Evangelho de João, capítulo 4.
